For many years, HostelSnap has integrated with the MyAllocator channel manager to synchronize rates and availability across multiple booking channels.

Recently, Cloudbeds, the parent company of MyAllocator, discontinued the availability of MyAllocator as a stand-alone product. As a result, many PMS systems that previously integrated with MyAllocator will no longer function unless the hostel already has an existing MyAllocator account.

For the hostel industry, we believe Cloudbeds' decision to discontinue MyAllocator raises several concerns:

It reduces the number of PMS choices available to hostel owners.
It limits interoperability between independent software platforms.
It pushes hostels toward a single vendor ecosystem that may not fit every property's needs or budget.

Many smaller hostels rely on simple and affordable technology stacks rather than large PMS systems. Removing the stand-alone channel manager option makes it harder for these properties to remain competitive unless they adopt the Cloudbeds PMS.

We also believe this decision contradicts earlier statements by Cloudbeds leadership that MyAllocator would remain a platform-agnostic channel manager when Cloudbeds acquired the company. See our interview with CEO Adam Harris here.

Cash Out Adjustments- No Reference

I just adjusted a cash out from $140 to $120 (there should have only been $20 of monopoly money, not $40). I did this before approving the transfer amount. I see that the way the system processes this is by allowing the original amount to be approved, and then doing an adjustment. However, the adjustment time stamps to right now (Feb. 16th), while the cash out backdates to the original date of transfer (even if the approval was done just now; in this case, Feb. 2nd). The problem with this is that there is no reference to the original cash out in the adjustment note. And because they are not next to each other (in this case many days apart), it's pretty impossible to know what it's for. Since the adjustment is done directly in the pending approval process, a user would not think to make a detailed note of what it's referencing.
