For many years, HostelSnap has integrated with the MyAllocator channel manager to synchronize rates and availability across multiple booking channels.

Recently, Cloudbeds, the parent company of MyAllocator, discontinued the availability of MyAllocator as a stand-alone product. As a result, many PMS systems that previously integrated with MyAllocator will no longer function unless the hostel already has an existing MyAllocator account.

For the hostel industry, we believe Cloudbeds' decision to discontinue MyAllocator raises several concerns:

It reduces the number of PMS choices available to hostel owners.
It limits interoperability between independent software platforms.
It pushes hostels toward a single vendor ecosystem that may not fit every property's needs or budget.

Many smaller hostels rely on simple and affordable technology stacks rather than large PMS systems. Removing the stand-alone channel manager option makes it harder for these properties to remain competitive unless they adopt the Cloudbeds PMS.

We also believe this decision contradicts earlier statements by Cloudbeds leadership that MyAllocator would remain a platform-agnostic channel manager when Cloudbeds acquired the company. See our interview with CEO Adam Harris here.

This Known Issue Report is related to the View Reservations page

Reservation Missing

Andew Mussey made a reservation for Feb. 2 (possibly Feb 3?) and had the $43 taken from his account, but never a confirmation email. I can't find him anywhere in the system on the reservations area (future, canceled, etc) but I did find him in the people database. His status is 'canceled' but there are no reservation details: https://pt.hostelsnap.com/guests/reservation_details/8735 He did actually want to cancel, so I refunded his payment manually via paypal, but I thought you may want to look into this. The only clues I have: He said when he hit submit it just refreshed the reservation page. His email has a + sign in it which often causes problems in websites (his words).

I think the 10 minutes before automatic page reload was too little so, I now changed the rules like this:

reload publicreservations page after 10 minutes of IDLE time 
OR
after 29 minutes of not making a reservation

Also @darren85 I had no idea there can be email addresses with a + sign... I tried creating a google account with a + inside right now and they didn't let me.
