Failed Partial Credit Card Refund Affecting Cash Balance

Staff tried to refund a guest (Nathan) today with partial refund of $86 back to a credit card and partial cash of $38.62. The refund failed the first time so staff tried the same thing again. It failed again and the refund transaction was incomplete on HostelSnap with total $124.62 refund still owed to Nathan. Staff had given Nathan $38.62 in cash back and said all was ok. When I looked later, the credit card refund had failed both times because the $86 amount had already been refunded to another guest (Benjamin) on the same reservation. Nathan was still owed $124.62 according to HostelSnap and when he returned, I refunded him $86 in cash to complete this since he was already given $38.62. HostelSnap had subtracted $38.62 from the cash balance both times Nathan's refund had failed because of the credit card refund failure. For his final refund it also subtracted the full amount of $124.62 even though I only gave him $86. Nathan got his full refund back in cash, but the HostelSnap cash balance is now incorrect. It should not have subtracted cash amounts when part of the refund failed, and then it asked for the full refund again since it was incomplete. Possibly unrelated, but the expected cash totals when counting the drawer are also not what I expected them to be. The drawer is $40.22 over when I expected it should have been around $77.24 over (38.62 x 2). I am looking into this further.
